4 May 2010 – Pennine Downing AIM VCT 2 plc merger with Pennine AIM VCT plc
A PDA2 EGM today approved the merger, which is proceeding to completion on 12 May. Chad Murrin will stand down from the PDA2 Board at that point.

20 April 2010 - Chad Murrin completes the Certificate of Training Practice
Chad obtained the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s Certificate of Training Practice qualification and become an Associate member of the CIPD. "I have been an independent trainer for some years now and acquired much experience. However, to win training projects - particularly in the public sector - it is helpful to have formal accreditation. The CTP is the ideal qualification for independent, professional trainers” said Murrin.

5 April 2010 - Downing Absolute Income VCT 2 plc completes successful fundraising

10th February 2009 - Murrin Associates Limited celebrates Fifth Anniversary
Chad Murrin stated: "I am very pleased to reach this milestone. I incorporated the company on 10th February 2004, having spent a long corporate career with the venture capital company 3i. I have managed to develop an independent consulting and training business and build up a practice as a Non-executive Director. In the past five years, I have undertaken some fascinating assignments for some great clients. The variety has been tremendous."

31 January 2009 - Construction Skills Certification Scheme
"Being a Non-executive Director of a building company (Beard Construction) and of a recruitment company (Setsquare Recruitment) supplying labour, technical and professional staff to the UK building industry, I visit building sites quite frequently. I have therefore completed the health and safety test and have obtained a CSCS card. This saves time when I visit sites and shows my colleagues that I take safety as seriously as they do” commented Chad Murrin.

10 December 2009 - Downing Absolute Income VCT 2 plc launched

7 June 2009 - Chad Murrin joins CIPD and enrols for the Certificate of Training Practice

Chad has become an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel Development.  He has also enrolled to take the CIPD's Certificate of Training Practice qualification.  "I have been an independent trainer for some years now and acquired  much experience.  However, to win training projects - particularly in the public sector - it is helpful to have a formal accreditation.  The CIPD's CTP is the ideal qualification for independent, professional trainers and I am finding the programme to be extremely informative" said Murrin.

10th October 2008 - Training assignment completed in Mozambique

Working for the international development company Crown Agents, Chad Murrin has just completed a one week training project for the Bank of Mozambique.  "I have never worked in Africa or done anything quite like this before, so it was an adventure" said Murrin.  "As it turned out, I was highly impressed by the enthusiasm and high quality of the course participants."  Based at the Central Bank's head office in Maputo, the project consisted of Murrin designing and delivering a banking, financial and legal training course for 24 staff.   The Bank of Mozambique is a long standing client of Crown Agents, which has an active representative office in Maputo.

12th June 2008 - Completion of "Customer Care" training programme for Beard Construction

Murrin Associates was engaged by Beard to design and deliver a tailor-made people development programme involving all of the company's 175 employees.  The programme was titled "Customer Care in the Commercial World" and consisted of 28 half-day training workshops, held between January and June 2008.  The content included excellence in customer care, business and financial performance, knowledge management, performance management techniques in managing people.
