Chad Murrin has over 20 years' experience in corporate finance. From 1986-2004, he worked for 3i, the private equity and venture capital group. Over the years, he advised on a large number of mergers and acquisitions, flotations and fund raising transactions, and worked on the IPO of 3i Group plc itself on the London Stock Exchange in 1994. For the last five years of his career at 3i, he was Corporate Development Director. He qualified as a barrister in 1978, after reading law at Cambridge University .

Chad holds the Advanced Diploma in Corporate Finance from The Corporate Finance Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  The Corporate Finance Faculty is the largest body of professionals involved in corporate finance. 

Chad is a member (and past Chairman) of the UK branch of the Association for Corporate Growth. ACG is the premier association for professionals involved in corporate growth, corporate development and mergers and acquisitions. He is also a member of the Bar Association for Commerce, Finance and Industry.

Chad is a Non-executive Director of Beard Construction, Setsquare Recruitment and four venture capital trusts (Triple Point VCT plc, TP70 VCT plc, TP70 2008 (II) VCT plc and Pennine Downing AIM VCT 2 plc).
